My kids have learned to try new things because I have made a promise to them and they trust I will keep it. “Mommy would never make you eat something that wasn’t yummy.” When I remind them of the promise, 10 out of 10 times they will try the food I want them to try, and 8 out of 10 times, I get this response, “THIS IS AWESOME!”
But with the baby, and the fact she is my third, I have learned to introduce things MUCH earlier! So this summers treat for her was grilled corn on the cob, Daddy- style! Super simple and so healthy!
Step 1: Soak corn in water for a few hours (with husks on and intact).
Step 2: Put them on a hot grill (will have to check with Daddy for temp and time…this is his deal)
Step 3: Rotate them 2 times. Take them off after 10 minutes.
Step 4: Put them in a cooler to cool down.
Step 5: Peel back, eat and enjoy!
Super simple and so easy (as long as you know how to work the grill! Here in Florida, the summer isn’t over yet, so why not try this. It is great on a night where you can enjoy the weather and eat outside. It’s kind of messy so this is a porch thing. Once you try this, you will never cook corn any other way!Family, Healthy Eating, Kids
