Fall is in the air. But on the table is where I like fall the best! I was recently invited to taste fall from the new hot spot in South Tampa, Carmel Café.
I truly enjoy dining at places that use simple and fresh ingredients and then turn them into amazing dishes. And even better, Carmel Cafe has used the flavors of fall to create a menu for the season. Simply brilliant!
We sampled on (from left to right) Danish Baked Brie, Seasonal Flatbread, Chicken Maderia with roasted Brussel Sprouts, and Four Cheese Stuffed Cannelloni. You want to go there right now, don’t you?

The first time I visited Carmel Cafe I saw all my girlfriends staring at ipads. I thought that it was some new trend (and I had left mine at home) and this was how we were communicating when we got together! Needless to say, ordering off an ipad was the coolest thing I had seen in a while and I talked about it for weeks! The tech geek in me was also so glad to see that Apple recognized them on their “ipad in business” blog. Huge props from the big man himself! Very cool!
I can’t wait to see what spring brings at Carmel Cafe. But in the mean time, I am already headed back twice in November with friends!
