Push Away The Screen: Monster Jam 2015 Tampa Bay

No Comments Uncategorized

Monster Jam returns to Tampa Bay TWICE this year! Saturday, January 17 and Saturday, February 7 are the dates set for the ultimate monster truck shows at Raymond James Stadium. Get your kids away from there new tech toys and go have fun watching these 1,500 horsepower, 10,000-pound monster trucks compete in side-by-side racing and the fan-favorite freestyle competition where each monster truck gets up to 120 seconds to “wow” the crowd with huge jumps, wheelies, truck-spinning donuts, flips, and the destruction of cars, vans, buses, motor homes and more.

The two Tampa shows are completely different. All 16 monster jam teams will be at both events too! What a fun event to push away the screen! If you’ve never been to a Monster Jam, you are missing out! Approximately 12 feet tall and about 12 feet wide, monster trucks are custom-designed machines that sit atop 66-inch-tall tires and weigh a minimum of 10,000 pounds.

Speaking from experience, it’s a family friendly event that will keep kids captivated and excited!

At Fit Kids Playground, we encourage everyone to start pushing away that screen! According to Kids Health and the Kaiser Family Foundation, 8- to 18-year-olds watch about 4.5 hours of television a day. And the average kid spends 7 hours on all screen media combined (TV, videos, and DVDs, computer time outside of schoolwork, and video games).
